How NEXA stays private
NEXA is a messenger that runs in your browser. No install, no phone number. And nobody in the middle — not even us — can read what you send.
Think of it as a quiet room that lives on your computer. You open a tab, pick someone, and talk. The hard security work happens automatically — you don’t have to turn it on.
A message is readable only on two devices: yours, and the person you’re talking to. Everywhere in between, it’s just scrambled noise.
Watch the word travel. In the middle it turns into noise. Only the other person’s device can turn it back.
When you sign up, your browser creates a pair of keys. The private one never leaves this device in a form we can use. Your password wraps it so only you can open it.
Before a message goes anywhere, NEXA locks it. What travels the network is ciphertext — a sealed box. Without the right key, it’s useless.
Our servers move the sealed box from you to them. Routing is our job. Opening it is not. We store only the locked version.
Your chat partner’s device unlocks the message with their key. That’s why a conversation stays between the two of you — even if someone intercepts the traffic.
